Community

One of the many blessings of a moderately successful podcast is community. It takes a village to make great creative work so we should surround ourselves with fellow humans who inspire and motivate us. This week I’m sharing folks who do that for me starting with the Prime Lenses Community!
Focus Points with Tom Stothard
A perk of signing up to support the show on Patreon is that you can have a video call with me where I run through the Prime Lenses Focus Points that I initially tried out with Becca Farsace when she was on the show. These questions are designed to uncover your photographic soul! Tom was a fantastic guest for this feature and I think you’ll enjoy this conversation on YouTube. Thank you so much Tom, you were the earliest advocate for the show, you didn’t know me at all but connected with the podcast and reached out and have been in my corner ever since. I am blessed to know you and have you onboard.
Wildlife Photography with Bella
My friend Bella has been a travel and wildlife photographer for over 10 years and her journey has been an amazing thing to cheer from the sidelines. I really like this blog post she wrote about getting into Wildlife Photography this week. It’s a great read but in particular she makes a really great point about how good value older DSLRs now are. Canon 5Ds and Nikon D850s still make incredible images and an amazingly powerful kit can be had for less than £500 if you shop around places like MBP.
If you like the show and would like to support the cost of running it, you can do so by going to Patreon. If you’re not in a position to support financially, sharing the show and leaving a review or comment is much appreciated.
AgBr
Recently, you may recall, I spoke to the team behind AgBr, a photo editing tool that enhances your images with a host of delicious black and white pre-sets. Part of the appeal of the app when I spoke to Alvaro and Guillaume was the fact that they were going to add to the app over time.
