Witness to a century

This was originally published in my Prime Lenses Newsletter. You can sign-up for a weekly update to your inbox here.

This week is a change from our regular Wednesday updates.

For the next four weeks, in addition to the regular Sunday episode, I’ll be releasing a special episode featuring interviews from Leica’s centenary celebrations at the end of June. They were celebrating 100 years of continuous camera manufacture and invited a few of their closest friends to attend and celebrate with them. I was invited to interview a number of special guests and will release four twenty-five minute episodes. One hundred minutes for one hundred years.

You’ll hear from Dr Andreas Kaufmann, chairman of Leica, Peter Karbe, the legendary lens designer, Mark Shipard, their Head of Design, Inas Fayed, Editor-in-chief of the LFI magazine and finally Sarah M Lee, a UK based photographer who makes fantastic portraits and shoots mostly with an M.

This is one for the Leica heads for sure, but I tried to get time with folks that the non-Leica fans would also be interested in hearing from.
